KISKA
2021
Expanded Choreographic Research
Kiska is yet another attempt to discuss bodies of care, invisible labour, the violence of care and the “banality of carelesness” through an approach of expanded choreographic research.
Kiska as a gesture of sharing and re-inhabitation, seeks to encounter several documents and negotiations around care work by caring and (un)cared bodies in hospital and domestic environments. Complementary and conflicting narratives temporarily inhabit the rooms of the first floor apartment at 35 Kipselis Street and invite us to navigate the space through modes of listening, observing, reading and forging.
1927 Art Space presents the work of Chara Kotsali and Evi Nakou, launched in September as part of the Between the Seas art residency program in Monemvasia.
The project focused on practical research into the relationship between choreography and dramaturgy and was partially supported by the Ministry of Culture.
